In a move set to reshape the future of AI computing and data center infrastructure, Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) have announced a multi-generational collaboration to co-develop custom CPUs, GPUs, and system-on-chips (SoCs) targeting data center, hyperscale, enterprise, and consumer markets. The partnership aims to merge Nvidia’s AI and accelerated computing expertise with Intel’s x86 CPU architecture and advanced manufacturing capabilities, creating next-generation computing platforms capable of handling increasingly complex AI workloads. Under the agreement, Intel will manufacture Nvidia-custom x86 CPUs for data center applications, which will be integrated into Nvidia’s AI infrastructure platforms and offered to enterprise customers worldwide. To solidify the partnership, Nvidia will invest $5 billion in Intel common stock at a price of $23.28 per share, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
